Aaron first stepped foot in Durango in 1990 and relocated to Durango in 1996. Now some 27 years later, Aaron brings a wealth of local knowledge fueled by his love of the mountains. Although Aaron is a born and raised Chicagoan, he Aaron L. Peterson's story in the heart of the Four Corners mountain region is one of deep connection and passion for Southwest Colorado. A Chicago native, Aaron's journey to Colorado in 1990 was the start of a love affair with the mountains and the great outdoors. This affection only grew stronger, leading him to relocate permanently in 1996. Now, with 28 years under his belt, Aaron's extensive local knowledge and enthusiasm for the region are unmatched.
Drawn to the outdoors from a young age, Aaron's travels through Canada and across the western and northern United States were driven by his need to be immersed in nature. It was during a cross-country motorcycle tour that he first encountered the stunning beauty of Southwestern Colorado. This experience was a pivotal moment, as he instantly recognized this area as the ideal place to embrace life and nurture a family in a setting of unparalleled quality.
Leaving behind a successful career in Chicago's elite fine dining scene, Aaron traded the hustle and bustle of city life for the quaint, small-town atmosphere. Here, he quickly made a name for himself in the local restaurant industry, becoming a celebrated Bar Operator and Mixologist. His more than 20 years of experience in delivering exceptional service to five-star fine dining clients laid a solid foundation for his transition into real estate.
