As a resident of Durango's Animas Valley since 2008, I get to enjoy the beauty of the valley every day. I, along with my husband, Aaron Peterson, who is also a Real Estate Broker with The Wells Group, enjoy living in this lush river valley. Aaron and I work together to bring a high level of service to each client that we work with and have had the pleasure to work with many buyers and sellers all over the Southwest Colorado area. Having been successful on Glacier Club's real estate sales team brings an extra element to my real estate knowledge.
I have been told many times that I am patient and have the ability to listen well. With a keen eye for matching buyers with properties and getting properties sold for my sellers, "Real Estate Matchmaker" is a nickname that I have been given and happily accept. I am very honest and will give you the facts, not just opinions, which is so very important when buying and selling real estate. Tenacity is one of my traits and giving up is not part of my makeup. Being a real estate broker has been a perfect fit for my personality and I feel it's a natural fit.
Over the years, I've worked in insurance, banking, retail, food and beverage and more. I am truly a people person and understand how to sort through the details to find the facts to deliver a closing with as much ease as possible. I believe in being available to my buyers and sellers and I really do answer the phone whenever I can! Going the extra mile is important to me as well as being educated with detail and real, updated facts. Buyers and sellers need facts and honesty.
Hiking and mountain biking in this beautiful area is certainly a love of mine, but one of my true passions is gardening (flowers and vegetables). I also enjoy scouting with my husband for elk and I am a supporter of the Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation. I love our downtown and frequent the many great restaurants and events that Durango has to offer. I volunteer in the community through several avenues throughout the year.
I am an animal lover and have dear pets of my own. Household pets now, but have had mules, chickens, goats and more. I was employed here at our local La Plata Humane Society for 4 years and may have adopted your pet for you!
I first got my Colorado Real Estate license in 2008 and have successfully sold many properties in and around the area. However, I take many continuing education classes to stay up to date on the La Plata County ever-changing market and real estate rules. I am extremely versatile and easy to work with. I am ready to help you with your real estate needs.
